Fun for the Whole Family!

Yesterday I was able to see another successful remodel done by The Cabinetry in Braintree. Daniela, one of our fabulous photographers, and I went to the client’s home to photograph the finished space. It was awesome! The new space was open and full-of light. I was immediately struck with the Silver Metallic Ben Moore wall color that she chose for the entry! It was stunning and was the perfect accent for her glazed Cherry cabinetry and metal tile backsplash. I also enjoyed the pops of vibrant blue throughout the space in the textiles and decorative accents.

The client was so happy with her new space and raved about how Marlene was the only designer she visited that really listened to what she wanted in her new space. It was a dramatic transformation. A small kitchen, dining room and living room once stood in the new space. The client loves to entertain and felt like the dated smaller rooms did not support the lifestyle that her family enjoyed. She envisioned opening the space up and combining all three rooms into one so that multiple activities could all take place simultaneously.

The new design included two islands. One for working, and preparing food, while the other at bar height for eating and hanging out! The adjoining media center was also done in the glazed Cherry to continue the flow of the room and join the two areas together. The large flat screen TV is housed with a decorative display of the clients mementos from travel. It was great to see the client so excited and happy to be in her new space. The kitchen was finalized a few days before Thanksgiving so her family was able to enjoy the holidays in their new beautiful home. Now the whole family spends time together sharing the new space. Here are a few before pics showing the closed-off, small rooms that ultimately became one large space.

Here we have the final kitchen and adjoining living room with the matching Media center. (Stay tuned for Daniela’s pics that will soon be up in our Gallery!!)
