Hidden Gem!
The showroom has undergone some recent changes in the past year; a hidden jewel tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Clients are always impressed with our showroom and all it has to offer. We are so excited to have a beautiful and fresh space to meet with clients.
I even have a new office! Yeah! (a big upgrade from the little cubby I used to work in…) It’s amazing what a little paint can do. It’s so important to test paint colors on the walls of the space they will inhabit….a color may seem great in the store but that doesn’t always ensure that you will feel the same way about it once you have applied it to the intended space. It’s great to look at the color in different areas of a room to see how the color will change in relation to various lighting conditions both natural and artificial. Ultimately I chose glossy, white modern cabinetry complete with a floating shelf and paired it with Farrow & Ball’s London Clay paint in a matte finish. I just love my new space!!
We re-vamped the hardware display by painting all the slatboard and walls the same color. This really unifies the space and makes the hardware pop!We are also excited about showcasing Grothouse wood tops. After attending the BKBG Conference (Bath & Kitchen Buying Group) in St. Louis, Marlene decided to feature Grothouse in our showroom. Grothouse products are beautifully crafted and have a great range of woods and edge treatments to choose from. We just love how the Sapele Mahogany wood top with distressing and Roman Ogee Edge compliments the black antiqued cabinetry and brass pulls.
The moveable Walnut and stainless steel island is a handy addition to the showroom, another great addition to the space from John Boos that Marlene also picked up at the fall conference. We just love our window treatments by Vision Window Décor. Jane Wallace does such a lovely job. We love how she conveniently “brings the store” to your home or office!!
Thanks to Colleen Dolan for these fabulous shots of our new space!!
