It was great seeing all the bath and kitchen vignettes at KBIS! There were a lot of interesting ideas and take-aways from the show! Trends that we saw and loved – gold is back in a big way (in fact any other shiny metallic finish)!! Everything from lighting, cabinet hardware, faucets, fixtures, and tile to other decorative elements like metal mesh inserts for cabinet doors.

 Chevron!! Everyone is crazy for that “zig-zag” shape! It’s a perfect dramatic and bold statement for a feature wall or floor. Kalista and Ann Sacks had great examples. Other venues were also on board – it’s a perfect way to add movement to a space.

 Rustic or reclaimed wood it also hot! Hot! Hot! The trend could be seen incorporated into cabinet finishes, porcelain tile that simulates the look of real wood, veneer and paneling for appliances, or just as an accent to virtually any space!

 Pink cabinetry paired with a fun wallpaper! Perfect for a small powder room! Great idea’s for shelving!

 Perhaps you would like an espresso or cappuccino! New built-in espresso / cappuccino maker is installed right into your kitchen counter and can be controlled from your iPhone – morning cup of caffeine made right from the comfort of your bed!

There were some fun food demonstrations… And of course it was fun running into our friends Miguel and Elaine from Autokitchen! There were also a lot of great storage ideas for organizing cabinetry drawers… These pull-out shelves are awesome for blind cabinets…gone are the days with lost items and wasted space!
